    Enough Stuff(ie)?

In our Grade K-1 Class with Ms. Flanagan, it was bring your stuffie to school day! This event was to honor meeting the goal of exhibiting excellent behavior in class and throughout the school. On Stuffie Day, students were able to bring their favorite stuffed animal (or toy) to school and practice skills with them. One activity was to use their math skills to determine if they had enough cups and plates for their stuffie guests!

    Pumpkin Carving for Halloween!

Our FES PTO was so generous to donate a pumpkin for each student to carve for the Halloween celebration in downtown Francestown! Students in Grades K-4 enjoyed a day of pumpkin carving, parades and a Halloween activity. What fun and excitement!

    Artistic Talents Shine at FES!

In art this week with Mr. Melle, our students continue to expand their creative practice as they imagine, plan, create, reflect, and share. This week they looked at works by Piet Mondrian for inspiration for independent projects. We also enjoyed building lanterns with Children and the Arts. Come see them shine!

    Interesting Surveys in Grade K-1

First Graders in both classrooms worked in pairs to create partner animal surveys! Their job was to choose three animals and then asked a question of their partner, then peers, such as “Which animal would you go on vacation with and why?” The answers were interesting and we found some popular animals such as bobcats, gorillas and even hyenas!

Morphs and Milestones Adventures

Students at Francestown Elementary School discovered their interests in nature during our Open House this past week. Nate from Morphs and Milestones brought his reptile collection for students to observe, touch and discover more about. His non profit organization is very popular in town and all the students and families were very interested in learning more about them that evening. Thank you, Nate!
